Internships

Burson-Marsteller offers a small number of internships within a framework of guidelines intended to ensure the quality of the learning experience for the intern.

Interns are hired for a 3-month term with a possible one-time extension of an additional 3 months.  While we understand that most interns are looking for full time employment, we cannot offer jobs to everyone after an internship. If no full time position is available after 6 months, no additional extensions are granted to ensure that advantage is not taken of less expensive staff support.

We have a strict policy of limiting the number of interns in our office – distributed among our different teams.  Interns are given responsibilities that allow them to work alongside consultants serving clients.  They are fully integrated into our daily work in a way that supports our consultants and provides a valuable learning experience for the intern.

Given the responsibility we place on interns, all candidates are expected to have at least one significant prior internship (stage) in one of the main EU institutions.Any candidate interested in an internship should clearly indicate this in his or her covering letter.
