About us
Our Heritage
The Brussels office first opened its doors in 1965, the second Burson-Marsteller office to be set up in Europe after Geneva. At the time, Burson-Marsteller Brussels was primarily a public relations agency. According to the founder and chairman of the company, Harold Burson, for the next two decades Burson-Marsteller Brussels became a training ground for general managers of newly established overseas offices.
In 1994, as the European Commission extended its growing regulatory functions into all areas of business, Burson-Marsteller acquired Robinson Linton Associates, a highly regarded firm specialising in EU public affairs.
Today, Burson-Marsteller is one of the leading public affairs consultancies in Brussels.
